Château La Pointe Chantecaille
History
With an area of 1.12 hectares, Château La Pointe Chantecaille remained in the Estager family from 1848 to 2020. Purchased in 2020 by Jean-Paul d 'Incau (President of the SGE Group), passionate about wine and terroir, the property has been completely renovated, with a new thermoregulated vat room for high-precision winemaking. Alongside his son Gérald, he surrounded himself with the Berrouet family (consulting oenologists) to support the winemaking and breeding of the estate.
1.12 hectare property located in the heart of the golden triangle between Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and Pomerol, on a terroir of gravel and blue clays mixed with iron oxides. The estate produces two vintages: Château La Pointe Chantecaille Grand Cru (first wine, deep colour, balsamic and floral notes, fine tannins) and L'Envol (second wine, more gourmet, notes of cherry and blackcurrant, silky tannins).
