Mathiflo Domain

History

Domaine created in 2012 by Thierry Grangeon, resulting from the union of two family wine heritage made up of generation after generation.

Winery located in Suzette, in the Vaucluse (Southern Rhône Valley), at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The estate produces wines in Beaumes-de-Venise (red and Muscat), Côtes du Rhône, Ventoux and IGP Vaucluse appellations, with an oenotourism component (holiday rental, on-site catering in season).

The Vineyard

Vineyard in hillsides of 30 hectares spread over six municipalities (Suzette, La Roque-Alric, Lafare, Beaumes-de-Venise, Le Barroux, Saint-Romain-en-Viennois), on a varied terroir (trias, clay-limestone, white land, gray marl) benefiting from almost permanent sunshine. Mistral naturally limits diseases and rot, reducing the need for treatments. Plots of old vines of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, supplemented by more recent plantations of Carignan and Cinsault.
